Dvir Cohen Eraki
High Holidays Melodies
ניגונים לחגי תשרי
Dvir draws from his Yemenite cantorial heritage to create these videos that feature prayers and melodies from the High Holidays.
Achot Ketana
אחות קטנה
In the Yemenite tradition, Achot Ketana (Little Sister) is sung on the eve of Rosh Hashanah by the eldest man in the synagogue, piercing the silent room with the powerful melody. With this song, Dvir hopes that the divine feminine energy will bless us all in this new year with life and health and love.
El Nora Alila
אל נורא עלילה
El Nora Alila is sung at the end of Yom Kippur just before the fast ends, and Dvir is drawn to its hopeful and joyful melody at this moment of spiritual uplifting. As he sings, he expresses gratitude to his ancestors and the lineage which has carried through centuries, and he hopes we can open our hearts to beauty in this coming year.

Tashlikh Atlas
תשליך אטלס
In Tashlikh Atlas, visitors are encouraged to reflect on the things they wish to let go of for the new year, both personally and socially. The website will determine your geographic location and you can cast off a short text to a nearby body of water. Visitors can explore bodies of water around the world to see all contributions. The accumulated content will be viewable online through the end of Sukkot and will then be washed away, for a better year to come.
